    About the show: "2 Grandmas"
We talk about our podcast where we read public domain children's stories. We will often also read a story online. Some of these stories, before editing (which we do as needed for the podcast) may be a bit rough -by present day standards- for small children.

I'm a 52 year old grandma, and live on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I do a bit of graphic art and dabble in all sorts of design. I'm married and have 2 sons, one daughter-in-law, 3 grandsons, 5 exchange student-daughters, a dog, 2 cats, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, a dad and stepmom and many many (I love them dearly, but please don't make me count) nieces, nephews, cousins, step-siblings, etc.
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
My first and main love is graphic design, but because I have a lousy marketing department (me!), I only do small jobs here and there. My main income (other than my husband) is from working with families that are having custody issues. And yeah, I do like that too.
What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
Until I decided to not return to the field -ever- I was an RN. I gave up my license years ago. Other than my nursing degree, I have taken all sorts of miscellaneous classes that really amount to very little. I've learned much more by doing online tutorials or reading books. I also homeschooled my son for about 9 years, which taught me a LOT.
Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
Hmmm. Married. Pretty boring, old fashioned lifestyle, I guess.
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I eat too much and exercise too little. That's about it, tho I did smoke when I was young and stupid. I quit about 25 years ago.
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
Most people are heroes to me. Everyone has struggles and obstacles, and nearly everyone has something extraordinarily wonderful in them. It's just harder to find in some people.
    What makes you happy? Why?
    My family makes me happy.
    What makes you sad? Why?
It makes me extremely sad that people are not allowed to make mistakes these days. Especially kids. When I was a teen I did lots of stupid, illegal, and dangerous things. I think most people did, got over it, and have had great lives. But these days, if a kid gets caught at anything, they're likely to have their life ruined by the punishment!
    Describe your most "humbling" moment:
I have so many! Let me think about that.
Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
I enjoy nearly any music where I can sing along.
What type of films do you enjoy? Please give some examples:
I mostly like chick flicks, but drama or sci fi is even better if it's quality.
Do you enjoy television? Which programs?
I do enjoy it... probably too much. My current favorites are probably Battlestar Gallactica, Heroes, Top Chef, 30 Rock, The Colbert Report, Family Guy.
Do you like to read? If so, what books have you enjoyed recently?
I read more non-fiction than anything else. I also like reading books by and/or about mediums, psychics, and the like.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Describe:
I garden quite a bit. Vegetables mostly.
Where are your favorite places? Where would you like to go most?
I LOVE to travel. I've been to 49 states (and look forward to seeing Alaska), Canada, and Mexico. I've also lived in Germany and did a lot of traveling around Europe. Of all that, my favorite place (other than home) would have to be Norway. The mountains and fjords are just incredible.
