I'm a singer/songwriter hailing from the Detroit burbs. I've been playing in bands and solo acoustic for over 20 years and I have a ton of original material that I've written, some of which you can check out at my myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/vincesmithproject).
My show will have something to do with music, but may end up being a forum for a lot more subjects as well. It's going to be called "Vinnie's Music Shop" unless I come up with something better. Keep checking back to see when the first one will be!
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I'm a driver for a transportation company. Not my first choice, but it pays the friggin' bills, you know what I'm sayin'? I'm a musician, but I haven't played a lot of shows lately. I'm looking to get back into playing some live solo acoustic shows soon.

I am very happy at home because the love of my life is also my future wife! Sorry, ladies, I'm taken.

Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I don't smoke, but I've been known to bend my elbow once in a while. I likes me some Captain Morgan.

Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
My hero in music is Edwin McCain. You may have heard of him or his music. His biggest hit would be "I'll Be" which hit #2 on the Billboard charts back in the 90's. He is a great singer/songwriter and an amazing talent. He won't compromise his art for more fame and fortune and I respect him for that. Check out www.edwin.com and give a listen, it's great stuff!

Music is the be all end all of my life because it moves me in ways that nothing else can.

I've never travelled much so there are a ton of places I want to go. Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Rio De Janeiro, Hawaii, Switzerland, Australia to name a few.
