listen. learn. love.
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I am a doctor of psychology but don’t practice psychotherapy. I coach and I am a spiritual director. I speak to parents, CEO’s, students, well, any group on the planet that wants to know the secrets to building better relationships and their benefits. I write books about relationships, and I teach people how to use transformational listening. I work with businesses, teens and even a few people whose names are in the paper from time to time. I have been called the “Queen of hearts.” In a nut shell… my work is about helping your heart get what it craves…. Love (or money, fame and fortune) I am so passionate about what I do that if Paris Hilton were to God forbid, croak, and will me everything, I would still roll out of bed and do what I am doing. I am exceedingly happy.

What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
I hold a doctorate in psychology. Schools out forever!!

Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
Good friends know to find me on the dance floor in San Fran, LA or Aspen when I am done with clients for the day. What else is there you need to know? I love red wines and don’t chew gum when I am tasting, and I hate flying but it’s an occupational hazard. I found the best guy in the world and a big red dog.. what else does a woman need?

Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
No. not one, she says with her fingers crossed behind her back and a cheshire grin on her face. Ask JB in Aspen to fill you in. Get comfy. It's a good story. But I am not telling it! ;-)
|
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
Every kid who was ever teased -bullied -taunted and didnt shoot anyone but rather learned to move forward and love others.
|
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
"BE KIND TO EVERYONE YOU MEET FOR WE ARE ALL FIGHTING A GREAT BATTLE. Philo of Alexandria
|
What makes you happy? Why?
Watching my clients face when they "Get it" and they go AH HA! and their heart opens up. I know their lives will never be the same. From that one moment on, its going to be a ride of a lifetime. Fabulous!! It's amazing to me to be a part of that.
|
What makes you sad? Why?
That people aren't taught listening skills in schools even though its the most used piece of the communication pie. reading writing and language are taught. but listening, the most used skill, is ignored. and it's not something we know how to do. It's a learnable skill. People suffer when they don't know how to listen to themselves or to anothers truth.

Name five (5) items you can't live without:
I attempt to practice non attachment. Buddha would be proud of me. But ok.. if I have to answer....my self respect, my big mother energy, my passion for my work, the love and respect of my children, my ability to forgive. I know, you're gagging right now. Should I have said Botox?
|
Describe your most "humbling" moment:
When the doctor put my first born on my belly after a long, terrifying labor. My son looked up at me and I knew from that moment on I was only here to me the best mom I could be. All the things I thought had to be about me left the building. And I got to have that moment three more times.... with my daughter and my identical twin sons. Amazing stuff.

Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
The Black Parade has been worn out in my Ipod. I am moving away from some of the exteme underground rap and hip hop. Tired of the negative remarks about women. But still can write all day to Mac Dre. and I am on pins and needles waiting for Hollywood Undead to release their CD. Hurry up Jeff!
