Gypsy Poet Radio. That is the name of my station. I present art, music, literature, and I am also open to fashion, food and film. Please, visit myspace.com/Gypsypoetradio for details to find find
out more about me. that will be my host page.
To get a little more personal, I am Greek and my culture does mean a lot to me. However, I am not afraid to explore other roots, cultures, nationalities and ideas that are foreign from mine. I am open to any and all and will present whatever I may bring to you here.
On a more poetic note, I like describing myself in the words of Stevie Nicks, The one who embraces freedom with a little fear, and one who is a master of so many but a savior to none....
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I am a musician. However, I am also a published poet with a book out entitled A Voice Over Time and currently, it is featured on Lulu.com and will be featured in other online bookstores shortly. I am working on an album and plan to released it once it is well-crafted and finished. I am also currently running another show on blogtalkradio.com/Gypsypoet--the name is the same-Gypsy Poet Radio...

What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
College grad. I am from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor's Degree in music. I plan to go back when I feel the time is right. My degree is in musical composition and it allows me to write, play the piano and sing opera and other genres.
|
Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
I am single and PICKY! I am a working girrl, so you have to know that the Piano is my first love. Believe it. But if you leave me a rose on my piano, and different colors signify different things, that's one way to get me to talk.
|
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I don't really have any that I can think of. I guess may be the fact that I am a graphomanic could be a problem. I write like there is no tomorrow. Music, poetry, songs--you name it. It could be a problem.
|
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
My parents without a doubt. I have my fairy godmother who I talk to on the phone, my late piano instructor, Gertrude (Genya) Mendel and my brother and his family, as well as my cousins Eleni, Mina, and Gina, just to name a few :)
|
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
Music is moral law. It gives a soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness and a gaeity to life and everything. It is the essence of order and leads all to that is good, true and beatuiful--Plato
|
What makes you happy? Why?
The things I do. Because they make me know I'm alive and know that I touch others with what I do--which are music, poetry and other writing.
|
What makes you sad? Why?
When people are mean and knowing I have hurt someone and I didn't know it. I don't like hurting others, and I don't like to see others hurt.
|
Name five (5) items you can't live without:
Chocolate, exotic food, books, music and coffee.

When a professor at my Alma Mater asked me for a piece of work I did to present outside of campus. He presented it in convention in Houston. (THANKS, DR. SEBALD!!)
