INSIDE TALENT-I can imitate peoples voices ha ha just to name a few(Brittney Spears, British Girl, I can make my voice go deep like a man ha ha I get people with that on the phone all the time LMAO! As a child, my mother exposed me to all types of people, food and places. I have been fortunate to adapt to all cultures and races. Last summer, the Korean language (Hangul) became interesting to me, which led me to learn the language. I had many resources of my own such as Yahoo, YouTube, Cyworld, and Google. By useing youtube I was lucky to have my videos on a Korean TV show.I have been learning Hangul for five months now. I am able to read, write, and speak the language.I hope to visit Korea my sophmore year for study abroad. It is important for me to study in South Korea for graphic design. Not only will I be trained to do something I enjoy, but I am also setting an example. My opportunities are endless with a higher education. Being that I am involved in school and community activities, I try to get the most out of things. In my freshman year of high school, I joined Love Thy Neighbor (a nonprofit organization), where I had the opportunity to give back to my community. We strived to rehabilitate thriving neighborhoods by creating opportunities for positive social and economic change. Looking back on everything I have accomplished, I can modestly say that I am trying everything within my ability to set a positive example for others. The greatest satisfaction I received from helping others is knowing that in some small way I have made a difference. In 2003-2006, I joined a local Punk band. Out of six members, being the only girl was one of my greatest obstacles. Soon I learned to adapt to my situation and become comfortable with my surroundings. We played at shows, schools, and parties. This gave me the opportunity to show my voice, boost my confidence, perform in front of an audience and express myself through the art of music. Being a lead singer took loads of responsibility. Every Saturday night, I was dedicated to attending practice on time. Everyone showed team work, motivation and effort. We all had different jobs, and we all had to work together to discuss money issues, and instrument maintenance. Creating a logo for our group was time consuming, but satisfying. Along with my many talents, I used my graphic design skills to put together a logo for our band name (Any Given Name). Alot of people try to put me down in school and in public but i cant let that stop me from where i need to be because, while my name is in lights, they are the ones left under.
