I am a 47 year old software engineer. I enjoy arriving home safely each night after a Boston commute. Eating good ice cream is a favorite pasttime. Raising my daughter in a way that deters her from making a long vertical pole her office desk. Taking baths with no water. Traveling, though I am taking a hiatus from it for now. Not being master of my own domain. Fixing leaks in paper cups, then tossing them in the garbage. Breathing clean air. Avoiding spontaneous combustion. Crocheting stapler cozies. Looking at pictures of cutaneous horns on the web. Bragging about how a bar of soap lasts in my shower twice as long when I set it down on its edge rather than one of its larger flat sides on the soap holder.

I have been a software engineer for 26 years. I enjoy it on and off, depending on what I am doing.
