Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
As an author and shaman, Maria Mar specializes in healing the soul of women. She does the same for a woman's writing and her book. Maria has been featured in PBS and BronxNet television and numerous radio stations such as WBAI, WKCR (Columbia University Station), WADO (Spanish Radio in NY), Brooklyn College Radio Station and La Nueva Onda 1190. Her articles have been published in Viva Magazine, Daily News, Ser Padres, New York, Newsday, and her work has been published by the University of Arizona Press and City College of New York. She is the CEO of ShamansDance Publishing and Production and has published half a dozen books. Maria Mar is a writer, artist, life coach and book writing coach and an internationally known shaman. She has taught creative writing for more than 15 years in the public school system and to adult women from all walks of life. She created the Write to Dream System(tm) to coach women experts in the art of writing creatively and writing to prosper. She has brandished creative writing as a tool for life transformation and has worked with thousands of women in the USA and abroad. She has created five expert personal and professional development systems based on female wisdom.

This beautiful world, with its light, flowers, trees, sun and moon and all the blessings.
Seeing women become their potential.
Water. Its song, freshness, cleansing and healing powers.

When I learned that the people that irritated me the most were mirrors to parts of me that I was unwilling to look at.

Bomba, plena, Flamenco, Guitar modern classics, drums, good music in general.

Good stories. Visual poetry. Great acting.
There are surprisingly many of those!

Do you enjoy television? Which programs?
I don't see much of it. The ones I like are usually short lived, like Men in Trees. I like Medium, Without a Trace and Numbers, but don't watch them always. There are so many better things to do than watch TV!
