A true Scorpio, Shorty P has had ambition, excess creativity, and great social skills since childhood. As a so called "hustluh" (Florida spelling), in todays terminology, she has envisioned an empire that would last way beyond her years. Her motivation is the love for music, people, the arts, and great entertainment.
Since the age of 9, this lil' mami has been writing lyrics and preparing herself for the next year within which she began her journey as a rapper and a singer, however not so great of a singer. Previously, she made been making beats via odds and end items and two tape recorders. This was also the year that she created two hip hop groups, calling them Quad Squad and X-It.
While in high school, Shorty was part of Mydnyte Fyre and FIFO. Although Shorty was motivated to make something of these groups, the other artists involved had other priorities. This was the beginning of her search for other dedicated artists and her management skills. This, in turn, spawned the beginning of Shorty Produkshins.
Shorty Produkshins is the label that was officially founded in (but known prior to) 2003, by Shorty, herself, and has had many talented people whom have started under its reign thus far. Shortys Playground was the nickname given to the Shorty Produkshins studio. In early 2006, Shorty Playground was sold in order to give Shorty more time for her other endeavors, in which were closely related to her envisioned empire. Shortys Playground remained the name Shorty gave to a second company she started that is in the business of selling beats for freelance producers and beat makers.
Noticing her love for promoting other acts, Shorty went back to the drawing table and created a third company. Many know this company as Shorty Produkshins, which became the title of the whole conglomerate, sharing its name with the label she created in 2003. However, the promotion company, itself, was dubbed Shorty Promotions. This company gives Shorty the ability to promote herself, as well as her many affiliates, associates, and other companies. Shorty Promotions not only deals with promotions, but it also deals with graphical works providing a bridge over the gap between artists, labels, and bigger companies.
She has been a busy bee forever. While creating these companies, she was also involved with the whole process of creating the companies, going to school for Recording Arts and Entertainment Business ad Law at Full Sail in Orlando, Florida, and engaging in many part time jobs. She enjoys the process, while attending events dealing with her industry and networking with fellow entrepreneurs and pioneers in the industry.
To the present date, Shorty P has had many collaborations with artists within the United States, and not to mention internationally when she was known as Lil Shorty. Shorty is currently in the works with many companies, to create business plans and structures that will change how we view hip hop today. She is also pursuing a career much sought after since a small toddler She loves to talk and wants to get into broadcasting as a loud mouth, yet innocent, radio personality and/ or a sassy hostess of a television show. She has been practicing all of her life and feels that she is now ready to put it to the test! Eventually, she would like to add magazines, film, and fashions to her to do list, as she is also a model and an actress. As for now, just be ready. Look out World, here she comes!!!
Since the Creation of this biography, she has also became an Independent A&R consultant for Interlude Entertainment. She has many other titles, as well... Come get to know her!!!
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
AY! So many, I am a producer, promoter, artist manager and developer and artist, myself. It does not stop here. I am also an actual artist, actress, model, and web/graphic designer. I currently write for the Associated Content... think Associated Press and major information data base for magazines, newspapers, and television. I have also became part of Interlude Entertainment and Bridging the Gap Music as an Independent A&R Consultant. We get you gigs with major labels!!! Inquire within!
Yes, I have many roles and titles, but I enjoy it and never sleep!!! All of these gigs are easily combined to create a powerful source of success.

What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
I have self trained since I was a child. However, I also attended and graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entertainment Business and Law. Both degrees, I have received from Full Sail in Orlando, FL. I am also working on going back to school for a Master of Science in my field, and perhaps a degree in Multimedia (not sure on this one yet!)

Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
I am a very business oriented woman. At the same time, I am very charismatic, open minded, opinionated, and outgoing. I am a hard worker but am ethical in my en devours. I am also in a serious relationship, sorry fellas!!

Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
Heck yea! Hahaha.. I'm a perfectionist... I take too much time to get something done right, but rarely do I have to do it over!!!

There have been many. Listen to my song "Angels" just to hear a few and what they have done for me.

What makes you happy? Why?
People getting along, working together, job getting done, and making that money! I love to work. I'm not a gold digger and money isn't everything, but with it you and yours do not have to stress out over it!!! Unless you don't know how to spend it, then give some away!!!

What makes you sad? Why?
Haters, I am happy I have them because it means I'm doing my job. But, it is so much harder to keep the process going by easily. You spend so much time setting something up for someone who doesn't know what the heck they're talking about to ruin it for you. Mind you I am a woman in a male dominated industry. No one likes to admit it, but the most qualified person for a job can be a woman. So, if the woman isn't willing to "give it up" guys tend to make the woman out to look like a "hoe." Do you know how hard it is to clear a record that is already clean? LADIES, we WILL cover this topic!!!

My PC. My Mic. People. My Cat. Office Supplies. Who needs clothes? I'm going to be pigging out on my own private island on bananas one day!!! :)

Describe your most "humbling" moment:
When I met someone very well known in the music industry. He was in my house trying to get me to teach him how to make a beat. I say, "I really can't teach ya. You have to feel the instruments and groove." He said, "Like this?" He started beating on the keypads and made a very hot beat. I knew he was playing with me. He then asked to check his e-mail. I said, "Sure." He googled himself and his discography. I was embarrassed. How could I not know I was standing in the presence (in my own home) with a musical genius?! He had 3 Grammy Awards, and not to mention nominations like you wouldn't believe. Come to find out, all of the music that I grew up to since 1992 (that were my favorite and inspirational pieces) were either Engineered or Produced by him. He ended up teaching me a lot about the industry from there out! Thanks Ricco!!! MUAH!

Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
SO SO SO SO SO MANY! I love hip hop (dirty south mostly unless prior to 1998), R&B (MY FAVORITE.. IF I COULD SING I WOULD!), UK 2 Step Garage, Reggae, Dancehall, Salsa, Carribean, Reggaeton, World, Arabia, Anything 80s, Oldies Rock, 90s R&B, 70's, FUNK, and more... hahahha.. I love music.. I listen to ALL types, too. Even POLKA!!! Did you know Polka is like an old peoples Chicago two-step sped up?

All kinds. If I fall asleep, it's boring! But, I love being told stories. So, it doesn't matter.

I don't watch TV. But, I guess the news, sitcoms, and biographies on the industry.

I read a lot of tech manuals and biographies!!!

Anything really! I dibble dabble in a lot. I guess that's why I can think "outside the box." Many older people SAY they enjoy talking to me because I am very young with so much experience. Mind you, I lived in the city. I lived in college towns. I stayed in the suburbs. I stayed in the woods. I stayed in rural areas. I stayed in the country. I have met many races and cultures and types of people. I don't turn down trying much, unless I know I will get hurt!

BED! I don't get to sleep. When I dream, it's like I'm traveling the world and coming into many new adventures! I know, I'm a dork. But, at least I'm a cute one!!! Someone gotta do it!!!
