SLEEPING WITH ANGELS In mid June of 2007, a group of five musicians in their early 20's from southern California formed a band who called themselves Sleeping with Angels. The Band was started by starters/remaining members of the band Zain, Josh Galo (Lead Vocals) and Anthony Reta (Bass/Vocals/keyboard). As they were seeking musicians early in the year they came across a lead guitarist that seemed to catch their eye. That guitarist was Andrew Garcia, He was referred by a close friend by the name of Jerrry aka “Hollywood Jerry”, an ex Band mate of Andrew. Both Andrew and jerry played in a band called the Eden Eye, they ended up playing a few gigs before they called it quits. As soon as Andrew joined Sleeping with Angels Jerry was chosen to be one of the band's roadies/mascot. Later on around early June they received a message on their myspace profile from a guitarist and a drummer by the name of Oscar (guitarist) and Tony (Drummer). They were both seeking musicians to form a band and when they spotted an ad on Myspace from musicians around their town who were searching for a band, They decided to give it a shot and reply to the ad. By mid June the band was complete, with the lineup of Josh Galo on vocals, Anthony Reta on bass, Andrew on lead guitar, Oscar on rhythm guitar and Tony on drums. The band soon got together to create their Songs to later prepare for what’s to come in the future. As time went by the band went ahead and continued to create music, in their own creative way in which at the same time captured all their musical influences. But at the same time not sounding like any other band around. During their rehearsals they would invite many friends and one day met a drummer by the name of Fabio Patino, a good friend of Tony who helped the band with fresh ideas. By late August, That drummer would soon replace Tony on drums. The band continued to prepare themselves for what the future had to offer to them, which they later played for venues such as The Whisky a go go, The Dawghouse, The Cat Club, The Anarchy Library, The Bull Bar, Bar Twist and that list continues to grow. www.myspace.com/sleepingwithangels2night
