The geeks must unite to save humanity! GalacticNar and RyantheMighty are geeking out on the only interactive show that covers sci-fi, internet, science, technology, gaming, comics, and enlightenment. It's time to achieve ... NERDVANA! THURSDAYS 10PM ET/7PM PT on Stickam! AND NOW... a daily blog at www.AchieveNerdvana.com!
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I am a freelance life-taster, actor, writer, teacher, webmaster, dungeon master...
|
What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
I'm schoolin' peeps daily, yo.
|
Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
I'm oh-so happily married to a woman who not only gets me, but pushes me to do what I love, create and be as gut-bustingly-funny as I can be.
|
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
Stupid people in large groups... They tend to back each other up and you can't get a word in edgewise.
That, and reality television... Unless they make an "Odd Couple" reality show with Bill Cosby and Bobcat Golthwait. That would RAWK!
|
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
There's this guy who changes tires for a living at Costco... His job could be considered as crappy, but the man is LOVING every minute of it! He's in the zone: whistling, spinning tires around, giving guys high fives with the biggest grin on his face.
People like that are heroes to me. People who take bliss in whatever they're doing and pass it on to those around them.
|
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
"it's NICE that there's a low risk of sexual side-effects"
Wellbutrin-xl
|
What makes you happy? Why?
Other happy people make me happy. Or when something crappy happens to someone who's already really pissed off... Now THAT'S fuckin' funny!
|
What makes you sad? Why?
So much messed up stuff in the world nowadays that we can help with... Don't get me started... Must... repress... sense... of... duty...
|
Name five (5) items you can't live without:
My brain, heart, lungs, sense of style and high-speed internet connection.
|
Describe your most "humbling" moment:
When I came to school in 8th grade wearing the same shirt as the retarded kid...
|
Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
I have a varied music collection. What I listen to depends on the mood I'm in. Mostly 80's - 90's rock/pop/funk (Black Crowes, Beastie Boys, Fishbone), international funk/rock/pop (Nino Ferrer, Gotan Project, Varrtina) Remixes of old video game tunes, electronica, power noise, and when I'm in the mood even some Disco, Bluegrass, and a dash of Gwar.
|
What type of films do you enjoy? Please give some examples:
Great Comic Books turned to good films, action flics, one of my all-time faves is still Die Hard, a Jackie Chan ass-kickfest, comedies, documentaries, and art-house flics that aren't too preachy or pretentious.
|
Do you enjoy television? Which programs?
I just got cable again and I have to say it's mixed. I LOVE Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, My Name Is Earl... and like a lot of what's on the Discovery, Comedy Central and Cartoon Network...
|
Do you like to read? If so, what books have you enjoyed recently?
I like to read, but get bored easily if the book drops off and something shiny catches my eye. I've recently read a bunch of books about golf and Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 maunals for script research. (I told you I was random)
|
Do you follow sports? Which teams are you interested in?
Uh... Not really. I like hockey a bit and play a lot of Scenario Paintball, but the speedball you see on ESPN isn't my style.
|
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Describe:
Paintball, Video Games, RPGs, Acting, Guerilla Theater, Computer krap, I'm learning the banjo...
|
Where are your favorite places? Where would you like to go most?
Home, other people's homes, The Bigfoot Lodge on Tuesday nights after 10pm, driving along the 101 freeway north past Santa Barbara along the coast on a clear day, the Colorado Bridge in Pasadena at night...
