I cannot believe how much the Nowlive network has become a part of my daily life. Initially, i just came here to listen to TMB: uncut but have met so many lovely people that have cheered me on to start a show, so why not? I hope everyone will enjoy the entertainment services that the PGBS (Phil Gee broadcasting service) can provide. I genuinely want the shows i do to be a great listen. Check out 'Movie Moan'. which broadcasts live every Friday at 4pm PST, 7pm PST, and Midnight PGT - Phil Gee in his room time. (http://www.nowlive.com/member.asp?id=100251498) And check out 'Stuck to the Past', which will, hopefully, be on the way soon. (http://www.nowlive.com/member.asp?id=100250922) Thanks for stopping by and all the best, Phil Gee
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
Currently, i have a completely lame job that does nothing but bring in some money. In this day and age however, i'm very lucky to have a job at all so i don't complain. My eventual career path is pretty vague and unknown right now, but i find that exciting.
What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
Graduated with a spiffy 2.1 degree (that's means very good for the international friends) in media production from Lincoln University.
Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
I am single and happy with that for now. I seem to spend most of my time helping other people through their relationships anyhow. I have a tight bond with my friends which makes me feel great. It makes me feel invincible actually.
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I do like unhealthy foods but not many. Apart from that i live a Monk-like healthy lifestyle. I can honestly say i will never smoke, do drugs, or become an alcoholic.
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
It's boring to say but i owe my parents everything for what i am today. My other hero is the real man of steel; the eternal and immortal Christopher Reeve. And if i'm honest, Kevin Smith (who shares my birthday oddly) inspires me to believe that you can make it in this business and still be yourself.
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
"Ted, i've just remembered Aliens is on after the news. C'mon guys, let's have a big lads night in. They'd love it Ted, bishops love sci-fi." - Father Dougal to Father Ted in Father Ted
    What makes you happy? Why?
Making the people around me as happy as i can. That includes complete strangers. It's just good to do some good (i know, these answers couldn't be any more cornball).
    What makes you sad? Why?
People (and animals actually) who literally can't put a roof over their heads. Nothing bothers me more than that.
Name five (5) items you can't live without:
    1. The family cat 2. My Superman ultimate collection 3. My PC 4. My bed 5. My toaster (no you should try it, it's a flawless piece of engineering, it really is)
    Describe your most "humbling" moment:
When i directed my first TV show on my media course. I was out of my league there, i really was. I was too focused on morale of the troops and not enough on getting the flippin thing done. But i learned from it.
Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
I'm very versatile about that but my favourite song is "cheer down" by George Harrison.
What type of films do you enjoy? Please give some examples:
Superman the movie, the LOTR trilogy, Aliens, Batman Begins, the 12 tasks of Asterix, Starchaser: the legend of Orin, JFK, the Bond movies, Election, twelve angry men, Ben Hur, the ten commandments, Airplane, planes trains and automobiles, and many more...
Do you enjoy television? Which programs?
I don't enjoy television in my country right now. It breaks my heart that it has become so cheap, lame, and devoid of originality.
Do you like to read? If so, what books have you enjoyed recently?
Disneywar: the battle for the magic kingdom, Silent Bob speaks, Imagineering, Open wide: how box office became a national obesession.
Do you follow sports? Which teams are you interested in?
Nope, not gonna try and fake that one, hee hee.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Describe:
Cinema and the experience of going to the movies will always be my main passion. I love to drive (i just drive everywhere)and travel. I just enjoy being out in the open (preferably with friends) and taking a look at this big old world of ours. I just like finding new places. I'm an explorer is what i am (just in the safest possible sense).
Where are your favorite places? Where would you like to go most?
Well i love my home city Liverpool. My favourite place is New York. I just love the soul of the place (and how easy it is to find places). I adore Florida but it's been a few years since i've been. I'd like to conquer Japan and the rest of the U.S. Thanks for reading friends

Hehe, I found out from your messgae before I even hit TMB today. You ARE the King! And tomorrow is also my first day of class for spring, so I'll need something fun after that stressful day.

Phil, What went on with tonight's Movie Moan show? Ethernz and I are on the board, you aren't, I think you died and recorded the show tonight as your last words to us all. I tried calling in and they heard my voice but it was over yours and we got no acknowledgment from you....WHERE ARE YOU???? Are you just calling in or something and not on the board?

Hey man, Yeah I'm sure I'll end up being there. I have my grandma coming in for Thanksgiving on Tuesday so I have no idea what I'm doing on Wednesday night right now and on Friday night we have family coming from out of town for a huge taco party (which is what we do in this family). So I may not be there the opening week. However, the shows sound fascinating and I will absolutely do my best to visit as much as possible. Are you on Facebook?

Hey, PhilGee. How's it going. As you may know, The Movie Blog is here to stay! So just a question, can you still send me those podcasts that you downloaded please?

Yeah, PhilGee? Please help me out when it comes to the old podcasts. I have no idea how to upload them.

Hey Phil. Your idea sounds intriguing and would probably work better with some kind of a hook as opposed to taking strolls down memory lane. It will all come down to you as the host to keep the energy level up. Maybe you could get some celebrities like John and/or Doug etc to kick things off to create some initial buzz. Any thoughts to tying this into movies, TV shows or creating a themed approach? Good Luck. Lou

Is your profile picture from Monkey Island? If so, I started that game and got up to the part where he goes through the swamp and never played it again. Awesome game though but too puzzle based for me.
