I sometimes feel like I was born watching movies; thrilled by them, taught by them, touched by them. They're America's artform. So it wasn't long before I wanted to MAKE them. Just as those that made me dream, I wanted to be a part of that dream factory. And it was behind the camera that attracted me the most. So, to teach me that movie-making isn't all glitz and glamour, my parents had me work as a Child Extra (up-before-dawn and home-after-dark to be part of those crowds in the background). I made shorts when I was young, continued work as an Extra (don't blink and you'll catch me in 'Back To The Future') and even worked through High School at the local video store. Then it was off to college where I studied film and continued work on-set, finally behind the camera as a Production Assistant ('Maverick' and 'The Shadow'). All the while watching, all the while learning, all the while dreaming. After college, I started work at Modern Videofilm, one of the leading Post Production houses in the business. I've been there ten years now -- as Manager Of Studio Services -- post-producing for all the major studios. And through it all, I've continued telling stories - writing, producing and directing when I can. In 2004, I dove into the deep-end and made my first feature, the independent thriller 'Backstage Pass' (released March, 2006). And what's next? Well, anything that might lead someone else to follow THEIR dream.
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
By day I'm a Post Production Supervisor for Modern Videofilm -- producing everything from Dailies Transfers through Digital Cinema exhibition. By night I'm a Storyteller -- writing, producing and directing short stories, a novel, short films and independent features. It sounds like a Super Hero existence (it is), and can spark delusions of grandeur (sometimes), but, really, I'm pretty happy about it. Sure, I wish I got paid JUST to write (or produce or direct), but it'll come. In the meantime, at least I'm working in the field I love to play in. And, honestly, that's pretty cool.

What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
I studied film at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Yep, you read that right. Las Vegas. THE city that never sleeps. So between strip clubs and blackjack tables, I managed to squeeze out some short films and scripts, a few P.A. gigs on movies, and land a job back in L.A. Not too shabby, for living in -- and loving -- that infamous city of sin.

Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
My lifestyle is work, work, work, with a heavy sprinkling of work thrown in for good measure. Fortunately, I have a wonderful wife -- truly, an AMAZING woman -- who somehow finds me sexy and even laughs at my jokes. And to top THAT off? She's my best friend. So, really, I somehow lucked out on a pretty GREAT lifestyle. Yeah, cheers to that ...

Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I wrote this exchange once where one guy says, "Are you threatening me?" And the other guy says, "That implies something of an empty gesture, doesn't it?" He takes a step forward, all business. "Buddy, I'm PROMISING you." Well, if threatening implies an empty gesture, then vices imply something negative we enjoy too much. And that's hardly fair. I used to smoke, I still drink, and I watch crap telly from time to time. Vices? Hardly. Guilty pleasures? You bet.

Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
I don't know if I'd call them "heroes," per se, but I'd love to meet, work-with, hang-out-with ...
