My name is Travis. I am a filmmaker.

AND I SUPPORT THE WRITER'S GUILD OF AMERICA AND THEIR STRIKE!
What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I am an independent filmmaker based in St. Louis, MO. More specifically, I'm a director who produces and writes his own stuff. I don't consider myself an artist...I consider myself an entertainer.
What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
I received an Associate's Degree from Lewis & Clark Community College in Radio Broadcasting. After that, I got bitten by the filmmaking bug and haven't looked back since.
Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
I'm straight, single and in love with my career.
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
My only vice is the damn internet. I'd have hundreds of ideas already come to fruition if it wasn't for the evil geniuses behind websites like Myspace, NowLive and DoULike.
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
My heroes are all work-related and are as follows: Kevin Smith, John Carpenter, Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino.
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
"Worrying is a lot like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but you don't get anywhere." - Van Wilder
    What makes you happy? Why?
Hearing an audience laugh at my on-screen gags, shriek at my on-screen scares, and clap during my closing credits. Also, St. Louis sports team victories.
    What makes you sad? Why?
Not getting a reaction from the audience. Any reaction, positive or negative, is a good thing for me. At least then I have something to go on for next time.
Name five (5) items you can't live without:
    1. Cell Phone 2. My uber-producer, Damon 3. My DVD collection 4. A creative outlet 5. Central Nervous System
    Describe your most "humbling" moment:
Watching "Snowball Effect", the 90-minute making-of documentary about Kevin Smith's first film, Clerks. After watching that, I had no excuse why I shouldn't be able to make a quality film as well. I wasn't better than him, but I knew then that I had a chance to obtain my dream.
Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
I rarely listen to music, but when I do its usually alternative/punk/rock. When I'm writing, I have my faithful composer write me a theme for the piece I'm writing and listen to it over and over until I'm done with the script.
What type of films do you enjoy? Please give some examples:
Growing up, I fell in love with horror films, especially the Halloween series. Never was a real big fan of zombie flicks though. I recently have become a huge fan of everything Kevin Smith and hope to work with him someday.
Do you enjoy television? Which programs?
When I watch TV, I try to watch shows that require you're undivided attention. These include Lost, House and Alias. I'll also watch Family Guy and Aqua Teen Hunger Force when I need a good laugh.
Do you like to read? If so, what books have you enjoyed recently?
I'm not a big reader, but when I have picked up a book or two recently it's been a Harry Potter book or actor/comedian Chris Elliot's book Shroud of the Thwacker. Check it out, it's an entertaining read.
Do you follow sports? Which teams are you interested in?
I do follow sports, however not as much as I did growing up. But living in St. Louis, I was born and bred an avid Cardinals fan. Later on I discovered hockey and became a supporter of the Blues. Finally, the Rams came to town and I had a football team to cheer on.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Describe:
I do a little Flash work, and tinker with building websites every now and again.
Where are your favorite places? Where would you like to go most?
The only place that I've gone that I remember really enjoying was St. Augustine, Florida. I would definitely go back there, maybe even have a house there one day.
