A 3 minute promo and quick intro of my first show - well, more like a sound check for the real deal.

Hello - I am the former DTVTransitionHost who now just enjoys passing time checking out the occassional NowLive show, most notably The Ford Show, since I have been listening to it in several incarnations in the past. I have decided not to have a show of my own for a while since I had zero listeners to my broadcast and I just don't have the time to do this right now, but I do enjoy throwing in a zinger (hence my cheesy new handle) in the chat room to make listeners LOL or LMAO or just plain L.

What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I am an applications engineer for a company that sells and installs electronic systems for schools and hospitals, using antenna, RF, and IP networking technology. My last position was with a major television antenna manufacturer, and I am weird in the sense that I only get my TV in my place over the air in the new DTV format that will be the only off-air format on February 2009 - for infor, check out my blog at otahdtv.blogspot.com.
What is your educational background? Are you currently in school?
Have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and I am also one of the first CEA-CompTIA certified Digital Home Technology Integrators (DHTI+ credential).
Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
Mine would be chocolate and/or espresso martinis
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
The stupidest questions are the ones that are never asked - anonymous
    What makes you happy? Why?
Helping others by solving problems, and having fun.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests? Describe:
Like going to concerts - check out my MySpace vid: Derek at 2007 Chicago Blues Fest
