What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it?
I'm working as a loan officer in Downtown NYC. I sold my home in Texas and moved to NYC almost three years ago! The way I figure it: Experience it while you can & while you are able. Give me any offer in the world & I'd still not trade the last few years...ever.

Describe your lifestyle and current relationship status:
Lifestyle is fun and fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants. Relationship status is just like death & taxes...my perpetual state of single hood is certain...much to my dismay! =(

Do you have any vices (smoking/drinking/etc)? Describe:
I'm down to 5 cigarettes a day. I curse like a sailor when I'm mad or upset. I like to partake in a few libations. So what??!?! *snicker* Work hard...play hard!
|
Do you have any "heroes" in your life or your work? Describe:
My Mom & Dad are my heros. Period.
|
Do you have a favorite quotation? Enter it here:
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' --Eleanor Roosevelt

What makes you happy? Why?
The "why," is because all of these things make me happy & bring me insurmountable joy. My dog, Bailey. Flowers. Sun showers. Snow. Friends. BBQ. Music. Dancing. Singing. Theatre. Laughter. Children. Texas chili. Anything "Texas" really. Great conversation. Driving on the open road. My Family. New experiences. Ant hills. Swimming pools. Catching & releasing fish. The open ocean. Ice skating. Roller skating. Laughing until your sides hurt. Wine with friends. Cooking dinner for friends. Mentoring. Giving. Gardening. Nature.
|
What makes you sad? Why?
The "why" is because it makes me sad...duh! Destruction of nature & of something otherwise perfect and beautiful. Children crying. Knowing my friends are sad or worrisome. The feeling of being deprived or stifled in any way. People who act ugly and rude. Selfishness. Bigotry. Close-minded people. Things that are out of our control...i.e. Katrina & the 2004 Tsunami.

Name five (5) items you can't live without:
My Mom, my Dad, my Brother, my dog, and my toiletries.
|
Describe your most "humbling" moment:
Sitting in the shallow water of a babbling brook while my high school friends and I waited for the truck to pick us up from a HS sponsored camping excursion. I stood up and felt something in my bikini bottoms! I screamed as I frantically batted at my bikini -- TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!! I almost fainted as I saw a huge worm fall from the crotch of my bottoms & I quickly stepped on it & killed it. Turns out, it was the larvae of a relatively uncommon moth. I felt bad afterward...but that larvae picked the WRONG bikini and the WRONG girl to shack up with!!

Do you have favorite type of music? Favorite bands or singers?
I love all types of music except for gansta rap.
|
What type of films do you enjoy? Please give some examples:
I love all types of film...except for foreign films. I don't really enjoy having to read the subtitles b/c for me, it takes away from the acting & production. I hate to say it, but as corny as it sounds, I'd prefer if the movies were dubbed in English...then I could pay attention to it...rather than having to read.
